El presidente municipal de Xoxocotla, Benjam\u00edn l\u00f3pez Palacios fue asesinado a balazos afuera de su domicilio, situado en el centro de este municipio ind\u00edgena, ubicado en la zona sur poniente de Morelos.<\/p>\n
El reporte oficial indica que a las 15:35 horas de este martes se recibi\u00f3 el reporte al n\u00famero de emergencias 911 en el cual se solicit\u00f3 el apoyo porque en la calle 5 de mayo se encontraba un hombre sin vida.
\nEn el lugar el param\u00e9dico Marco Antonio Garc\u00eda confirm\u00f3 que L\u00f3pez Palacios ya no ten\u00eda signos vitales.<\/p>\n
L\u00f3pez Palacios tom\u00f3 protesta como presidente municipal ind\u00edgena el 1 de enero para el periodo 2022-2024, en sustituci\u00f3n de su hermano Juan L\u00f3pez quien gan\u00f3 las elecciones en junio de 2021, pero ese mismo mes falleci\u00f3 de un infarto.
\nEl crimen del edil de Xoxocotla fue condenado por el gobernador Cuauht\u00e9moc Blanco Bravo en su cuenta de Twitter. \u201cLamento profundamente el cobarde asesinato del alcalde de Xoxocotla, Benjam\u00edn L\u00f3pez.
